On Saturday, the second of the three WSOP Circuit Satellites took place as part of the Mega Satellite Weekend at the Grand Casino Liechtenstein (GCLI). The guarantee of 10 WSOP Circuit tickets was clearly exceeded, so that in the end there were 13 tickets plus a decent amount of cash for 14th place. Among the qualifiers for the WSOPC Liechtenstein Main Event (26 February – 10 March), several GC Pokerroom regulars were found once again.

150 CHF Mega Satellite
Punctually at 17:00, the cards were in the air for the second of the three Mega Satellites in the GC Pokerroom! After the well-attended premiere on Friday, it became even busier at the tournament tables on Saturday evening. 113 players did not want to miss the chance to enter the 1.500 CHF Main Event of the WSOPC Liechtenstein for a buy-in of just 130+20 CHF. During late registration, another 48 re-entries were added, clearly exceeding the 15k guarantee. Ultimately, instead of the 10 guaranteed, there were 13 WSOPC Main Event tickets in the pot, plus 1.430 Swiss Francs in cash for 14th place!
It would take some playing time before a decision was reached. Although the first 13 places did not have to be played out, it took 6 hours 52 minutes until the ticket winners were determined. On the money bubble, “Destroyer” (AUT) was destroyed, meaning all remaining players were guaranteed at least 1.430 CHF. Before the final 70-CHF pay jump, “SumSum#09” (SU) departed, leaving the 13 winners determined.
These included “usual suspects” such as Peter Camponovo (SUI), “Super Rappi” (SUI), Patrick Kneringer (AUT), or Thomas Hofmann (SUI). We will also see Roland Stemer (SUI), “Genie” (AUT), “bloop” (SUI), “Lauchi” (SUI), Ralph Strähl (SUI), Fabian Hiltebrand (SUI), “Teppich” (SUI), and Roland Oswald (SUI) again in the WSOPC Liechtenstein Main Event. The German frequent casher “Reys” finished the second Mega Satellite with the most chips and also a 1.500-CHF ticket.

The action continues today in the GC Pokerroom with the next WSOPC Mega Satellite. Special Mega Satellite WSOPC events are being played on 3 consecutive days, where tickets for the highlight of the year in the Principality of Liechtenstein, the WSOP Circuit Main Event, are awarded. For a 130+20 CHF buy-in, players compete with 20.000 starting chips in 20-minute levels for at least 10 guaranteed tickets worth 1.500 CHF each. Each of the 3 special tournaments thus has a guaranteed prize pool of 15.000 CHF! Late registration is open for late entries and re-entries for 9 levels. Start time is 17:00 on Friday and Saturday, and 15:00 on Sunday.
