Saturday was Omaha day at the German Poker Days powered by GPD at King’s Resort Rozvadov. In addition to the GPD Main Event, the GPD Pot Limit Omaha event was played. Just like in the late-night GPD Saturday Night Turbo, there was a German winner in each case as part of deals. – Tournament poker was also played on Day 1B at King’s Casino Prague as part of the Ceska Pokerova Tour powered by CPT.

PLO fans had been looking forward to the GPD Pot Limit Omaha and, with 110 (84+26) total entries, ensured that the €10k guarantee was broken and €11.550 was played for among the top 17 PLO cracks. A min-cash of €257 was on offer, with €3.027 for the win. Six Germans and one Austrian made it to the final table.

After the elimination of Ukrainian Yurii Shevchuk, it was Michael Kern (GER, €337) who headed to the cashier in 8th place. He was followed by his compatriots Abdurrahim Turan (GER, €406) and Valerie Meergans (GER, €512). The Austrian „Phil“ (AUT, €673) was eliminated in 5th place, and when the PLO tournament also ended for Vito Giangreco (GER, €924), the final trio agreed on a split.

After the deal, „Johell68“ from France received €1.918 for third place, while runner-up Uwe Bertsche from Germany cashed for €2.046. The bragging rights for the GPD event success in Omaha and the top payout of €2.346 ultimately belonged to „Kaizen“ from Germany.

In the weekly Saturday Night Turbo tournament, 200 players with 44 re-entries generated a prize pool of €25.620 for the top 37. Six Germans took their seats at the final table, of whom Pascal Abornik (€448), Wolfram Schned (€556), Florian Buchner (€712), and Michael Diebold were eliminated in 9th to 6th place. When Ukrainian Dmytro Nikolaev busted in 5th place (€1.278) after them, the remaining quartet agreed on a deal.

This gave Henri de Hoop from the Netherlands €2.330, while €2.786 awaited third-placed Luka Agbaba from Serbia at the cashier, and German runner-up Thomas Möller was rewarded with €3.806. By far the largest share of the prize pool, however, went to „Schalaschaska“ from Germany, who was delighted with the winner’s prize of €5.050.
