One year as a PokerPro – “WolfiSpirit” goes trophy hunting in the Twitch pack!
WolfiSpirit

The poker community should already be familiar with “WolfiSpirit” as part of the GRND on Tour commentary team, as a “dare2stream” participant, or as a WCOOP winner. As a full-time poker pro and streamer, however, he has been taking a whole new path since this week. Anyone who wants to accompany him on his trophy hunt from the beginning should definitely subscribe to his Twitch channel of the same name.

Who is WolfiSpirit?

If anyone lives poker with heart and soul, it’s certainly “WolfiSpirit”. The 34-year-old from the Lüneburg Heath has loved poker for years and lives it as part of the GRND and PokerStars circuit. As a commentator for the GRND on Tour streams and also those from the Grand Casino As, he is known to a wide poker audience for his calm, analytical, and yet very humorous manner.

Love brought the business informaticist to the Rhine-Ruhr metropolitan region, which is something like the poker streamer stronghold, if one can speak of such a thing in Germany. Anyone who knows him as a friend, colleague, or poker predator knows that he is technically savvy and doesn’t do things by halves. This is also reflected in the look & feel of his stream – and hopefully also in the consistency and results of his poker hunt.

What does WolfiSpirit stream?

The adopted Rhinelander is a tournament specialist, which is also reflected in the streaming schedule. With an average buy-in (ABI) of $25, he will take a seat in MTTs between $5,50 and $55, and according to his own statement, also in the occasional $109 event during the major online tournament series. He will try to play his way into more expensive tournaments via satellites.

For better stream planning, he prefers accelerated formats in the daily grind outside of online poker series. Max late registrations or HyperTurbos should therefore not be a rarity in the stream. His preferred poker variant is No Limit Hold’em.

Since “WolfiSpirit” streams from Germany and has no plans to change that, he is limited to 4 parallel tournament tables. He always tries to play these and prefers to fill a vacant slot with the next available MTT rather than waiting for a specific one later in the day. Currently, he streams exclusively on PokerStars, where he has also celebrated his greatest successes as “2High4u”.

What does the WolfiSpirit stream look like?

Unlike other multi-table streams that often hectically change platforms and thus table designs, the Twitch and YouTube stream of “WolfiSpirit” is very clean. This is not only due to his personality but also to the lean and well-thought-out setup of a single active table in focus, while the action or hole cards of the other tables are displayed in the lower third of the screen.

The choice of music also fits the overall concept and invites viewers to watch and/or listen to him during his almost daily grind.

When does WolfiSpirit stream?

There is no exact stream schedule (yet). He is still in the “finding phase” here. However, the cornerstones are clearly defined: he will stream about 4 times a week for about 8 hours each day, starting at noon or early afternoon. If a deep run in a slowly structured tournament or a path to Day 2 in a *COOP event occurs, it can sometimes go on longer.

With this itinerary, he streams during the week, except on Thursdays; on Sunday, it’s the classic and therefore late Sunday Grind.

As part of the “GRND on Tour” commentary quartet, he will logically not be able to play and stream himself when he is in front of the microphone and camera for Felix Schneiders’ format. Also, his stream will not run as long as GRND has a parallel live broadcast. So if you wonder why “WolfiSpirit” is not online, just tune in to “grndontour”.

Why does WolfiSpirit stream?

The player from the Lüneburg Heath has long toyed with the idea of making more of his poker skills. Professionally, however, he was so involved that there was little chance for grinding except for late-night after-work sessions. The chance to try himself out and prove himself as a poker pro has now arisen for him in 2026, and he wants to use it with an open mind regarding the outcome. According to his own statement, he is deeply relaxed about the results and would of course be happy if the performances and numbers speak for themselves.

In the current calendar year, he wants to give passion and poker talent a chance: “The journey is the reward,” he says himself about his PokerPro project. Not without admitting that he is curious to see what it will be like to have to live from poker.

How does WolfiSpirit track his hunt?

The result of each session is continuously visible on the stream screen. Here he, and also his viewers, quickly get a feel for how the session is going, although late deep runs can of course fundamentally change things again. He plans to do a financial review in the stream monthly or once a quarter, discussing his balances in front of his viewers.

He will present and discuss the core stats in a certain cycle. He will present and analyze the major *COOP online poker series in a final summary.

What are WolfiSpirit’s hunting goals?

Although much throughout the year will be “trial and error,” WolfiSpirit’s goals are quite clearly formulated. The big short-term goal is a final table at the upcoming SCOOP. He doesn’t want to speak directly of a trophy, although winning one on stream is the ultimate goal. In 2023, he already succeeded in winning a WCOOP event. We can therefore assume that he can find the trail again once he has picked it up at a final table. In a way, “WolfiSpirit” still has a *COOP score to settle, as his WCOOP win at the time did not happen during one of his live streams. Only his poker colleague “OS793” was able to capture the moment of triumph as an observer in his own stream.

Even if the results are not entirely insignificant for this, the overarching goal of the North German is to have tried himself out completely as a poker professional for 1 year, and to have worked for himself rather than “for the wastebasket.” After that, according to his own flippant statement, it’s just a matter of “scaling and growing.”

WCOOP Win 2023

His WCOOP event win from September 2023 is certainly also to blame for the fact that “WolfiSpirit” wants to prove himself as a poker professional during a sabbatical. There, he took first place among 2,225 entries in the $55 NLHE 6-Max Freezeout Tournament, which was rewarded with $16,599 in prize money and the WCOOP trophy. The fact that it was not just awarded virtually but has been in his streaming room ever since means a lot to him. It is both certainty and incentive on the way to becoming a full-time pro and a lasting impression in his life: “Money comes, money goes, but the trophy remains,” says “WolfiSpirit,” illustrating the significance of the WCOOP cup on his shelf.

What can followers learn from this?

In addition to the poker performance of the 34-year-old and hopefully plenty of motivation to do the same, viewers have the opportunity to be present during hand analyses and studying sessions that will take place in the stream after the marathon grind of the SCOOP. GTO Wizard will also be used in the analysis of the sessions and hands.

Anyone who would like to ask “WolfiSpirit” for advice themselves can also do so via his Discord channel with their own hands. He will then likely discuss the hands and scenarios posted there with and for you in one of the next streams.

How long has the WolfiSpirit channel existed?

Even though the Wolf channel has appeared in a new light since this week, it has been around for a few years. As a “dare2stream” account, “WolfiSpirit” had always streamed on it in the evenings after work as part of the PokerStars promotion. After that, “WolfiSpirit’s” online presence shifted more to the GRND account of “xflixx.” Only the major online poker series on PokerStars were streamed by him on this account.

After these recurring streams had also fallen asleep, the channel is now the platform for trying himself out as a poker professional. According to his own statement, “WolfiSpirit” has planned his streaming project for 1 year. He will show that he is ready to lay the foundation for an online poker career from Germany by streaming at least 4 times a week for 8 hours each over the next 12 months.
