In addition to the 4 bracelet events, 2 side events were also held at King’s Casino Prague as part of the WSOP Europe (WSOPE). In the €1.500 Deepstack Turbo NLH and the €800 Farewell Hyper NLH, players bid farewell to the Easter WSOPE 2026 and the premises of the Hilton Atrium Prague. The fields were impressive and consisted largely of participants who had also been seen in the 15 bracelet tournaments. Competing with international poker superstars, numerous German-speaking visitors to King’s Prague also took their chances for titles and prize money.

€1.500 Deepstack Turbo NLH

In the Deepstack Turbo NLH, 161 entries for a €1.500 buy-in went on the hunt for €217,350 in the prize pool. This was set to range from €2.950 to €51.400 in payouts for the top-25. With the elimination of German Mathias Zaun (10., €.3540), the final table was set. In addition to international poker icons like Mike Leah, Zdenek Zizka, or Ran Ilani, “GG-Man” and Samuel Ju from Germany also took their seats.

Finishing 5., Samuel Ju secured another final table result at this year’s WSOPE with €11.540. His “GG-MAN” also had a deep run, finishing 4. for €16.050. Backgammon icon and poker crusher Zdenek Zizka came very close to a tournament triumph at King’s Prague. Ultimately, the WSOP Europe ended for the Czech player in 3. place with a €23.000 payout. Runner-up was Angelo Mancini from Italy for €33.900, while the top prize of €51.400 went to Israeli Raqn Ilani.

€800 Farewell Hyper NLH

The last tournament of the WSOP Europe in Prague was attended by another 130 entries, who were navigating the hyper-increasing blind levels starting from 16:00. With an €800 buy-in, a €92.950 prize pool was generated. The payouts from €1.639 to €22.220 for the top 20 places were set to become a series saver for some.

Hopes for a D-A-CH-L victory at the final table rested solely on Swiss player Fabian Scherrle, who ultimately took home €3.790 in sixth place. This left him just two places away from the 2006 WSOP Player of the Year, Jeff Madsen. The American, who played the WSOP Europe in Prague with a traditional Czech Easter whip in his hand, finished in 4. place for €6.900.
