Of the 12 rings to be won at the WSOP Circuit Liechtenstein in the GC Pokerroom Bendern, 2 received new owners on Friday. In addition to 2 Main Event starting days, the 350 CHF Ladies Event was decided at the Grand Casino Liechtenstein (GCLI), and a piece of finger jewelry was awarded in the 500 CHF PLO 8-Max. Both events featured a top-class international field. There was almost a double ring winner within just a few weeks.

Event #07: 500 CHF PLO 8-Max

For the Pot-Limit Omaha specialists, a buy-in of 450+50 CHF among 188 (126+62) entries was played for a prize pool of 80,370 Swiss Francs and the coveted 7th WSOPC ring in Gamprin-Bendern. It was planned that 29 players would finish in the money, starting with a 1,000 CHF min-cash and ending with a 19,000 CHF top prize. However, on the stone bubble, 2 participants were eliminated simultaneously at 2 different tables, meaning the min-cash was split.

With the bustout of “miascherry1” from Germany in 10th place, the 9-handed final table was set. In the internationally strong field, the German and Swiss contingents were particularly well represented with 3 and 4 finalists, respectively. Among them, places 9 to 5 were taken by Andreas Stocker (SUI, 1,540 CHF), Erich Fleischmann (SUI, 1,880 CHF), Michael Durrer (SUI, 2,380 CHF), Sammy Truong (GER, 3,110 CHF), and Jean Kleemann (GER, 4,200 CHF).

After the Frenchman Benjamin Hammann was eliminated in 4th place with 5,840 CHF and the Finn Mikko Matias Levanen finished third with an 8,400 CHF payout, it came down to a heads-up between absolute PLO experts. With Florian Kraft from Germany and Andreas Fröhli, two Omaha specialists faced each other. Fröhli had only recently won his first WSOPC ring at WSOPC Marrakech and was ready to put on the next one. But the PLO high roller Kraft was able to prevent that on Friday and knocked out Andreas Fröhli as the runner-up with a 12,500 CHF payout. Florian Kraft rewarded himself with the victory, including a 19,000 CHF prize and the WSOP jewelry!
