On Friday, starting days 1B and 1C of the WSOP Circuit Liechtenstein Main Event were played at the GC Pokerroom Bendern. The “Million Mission in the Alps” at Grand Casino Liechtenstein (GCLI) featured everyone who is anyone in the German-speaking poker scene. And so it was not surprising that several big names made the leap into Day 2 of the 4-day event with a 1.000.000 CHF guarantee.

1.500 CHF WSOPC NLH Main Event – Day 1B
Of the 188 Day 1B entries, 29 would eventually find a chip bag at their seat. This meant a guaranteed min-cash from the 1M guaranteed prize pool. This was secured for all 29 after Romanian Mihai “UltraIns” Tabac, as a max late starter on the stone bubble, called Vito Branciforte’s 3-bet shove with pocket 10s using AQ. With the Queen as the door card, both Vito Branciforte’s Main Event and Day 1B ended for everyone else. Tabac bagged 711.000 chips, placing third in the chip counts. The Romanian only trailed Lukas “333699” Schlumpf, who bagged 740.000 chips and had been near the chip lead until his all-in call with KXs against Michael Allgäuer’s pocket 7s. The lead ultimately went to Mihai-Andrei Munteanu, who not only held the overall lead after 3 flights with 875.000 chips but was also the only stack with over 100 BBs.
Other players who made it to Day 2 included Marc Sen (SUI, 638.000), Nils Mallon (AUT, 536.000), David Wintersberger (GER, 293.000), Josef Gulas (CZE, 210.000), Sandro Carucci (SUI, 116.000), and Ivo Donev (AUT, 45.000).
