At the Community Poker Festival (CPF) powered by GRND Live & HansiMania on Thursday at the Grand Casino Liechtenstein (GCLI), not only was the Alpspitz Dinner on the agenda, but also the battle of the communities. In the Community Clash PKO, supporters of GRND and “HeyHansi” fought for prize money and bounties, which was ultimately won by “Kojak,” a pillar of the GRND community. At the same time, the third of six playing days in the Community Poker Main Event was held in the GC Pokerroom Bendern, where host Felix “xflixx” Schneiders also grabbed chips.

130 CHF: Community Clash PKO
The Community Clash PKO attracted a total of 63 entries for 70+40+20 CHF, coming from 44 players and 19 re-entries. This resulted in 4,410 CHF for the top 8 in the regular prize pool and 1,260 CHF in the bounty pool, significantly more than the advertised 5k guarantee. A PKO event always offers a lot of action, and the Community Clash PKO felt like it had especially much.
The regular payouts were supposed to start at 175 CHF and go up to the first prize of 1,330 CHF. But with the bustout of Niklas Kaiser (GER) in 3rd place (615 CHF), the two remaining heads-up opponents had other plans. They agreed on a deal, after which the German runner-up Dennis Hübner ultimately received 1,050 CHF from the regular prize pool, plus collected bounty rewards. However, the victory was no longer to be taken from the GRND veteran “Kojak” on Thursday. He was able not only to defend his own progressively growing bounty in front of the running GRND on Tour cameras but also to secure 1,240 Swiss francs for the win, in addition to the bragging rights.

250 CHF: CPF Main Event – Day 1C
For a buy-in of 220+30 CHF, 58 players gathered on the third of six Main Event starting days in the GC Pokerroom Bendern. During the late registration, 25 re-entries were made. It was clear that on Thursday, 10 qualifiers for the CPF final would be determined. The playing day ended for the 10 survivors at level 6k/12k-12k, who were able to pack their earned chips into the provided chip bags.

Among the successful survivors were not only “Dendemaier” (SUI, 329,000), who had already caused several seat opens in the Mystery Bounty, or the GCA regular “The Rock” (SUI, 94,000), but also host Felix “xflixx” Schneiders made the cut. The EPT Paris runner-up collected 340,000 chips in Gamprin-Bendern on Day 1C.
The top spot in the chip count was held by “Whip” (SUI). 1,527,000 chips meant not only first place for the day but also a monster chip lead. Christian Beck (AUT) followed at a clear distance with 531,000 chips, and Hannes Rieser also distanced himself from the whip with 469,000 chips earned.
