On Tuesday, the Early Bird tournament was on the schedule at the Grand Casino Liechtenstein (GCLI) starting at 6:00 PM. So it wasn’t played any earlier than usual, but showing up on time should be worthwhile – 10,000 chips were given to all punctual starters. In the end, a duo should “catch the worm” in a heads-up deal!
90 CHF Early Bird Tournament
Starting at 6:00 PM, the Early Bird tournament with 20-minute levels began for the buy-in of 80+10 CHF for 38 players. 30,000 starting chips were advertised, but all early birds who were at the table on time received an additional 10,000 chips. Anyone who made it to their seat within the first 20 minutes received an extra 5,000 chips for this small delay. 15 re-entries were added during the 9 levels of late registration, thus breaking the 3,000 CHF guarantee and playing for 4,240 CHF. The prize money was planned to be split among the top six, starting with a min-cash of 300 CHF and ending with a first-place prize of 1,440 CHF.
However, the players had other plans for the distribution of prize money and seven of them took 130 Swiss francs from the prize pool as part of a bubble deal, which should sweeten the now not-so-unlucky exit for the seventh-place finisher. “Doodel” (SUI) was eliminated in 6th place (300 CHF), Sieglinde Peter’s (AUT) title dreams ended in 5th place (380 CHF), and GCLI regular “The Rock” (SUI) secured his next deep run in Gamprin-Bendern in 4th place (490 CHF). With the bustout of “Lolo” (ITA) for 605 CHF in the bronze position, the Early Bird tournament was decided. The remaining duo agreed to an ICM deal. This awarded Joel Rynda (AUT) 1,150 CHF as the official runner-up, while the top payout of 1,185 CHF went to “Luchs” (SUI), who perfectly filled the role of the “early bird” like a big cat on Tuesday.

Today, the CHF 100+10 WSOPC Satellite is on the program at the Grand Casino Liechtenstein – 20/15 minute levels will be played here, late registration is open until level 9. All players will receive 20,000 chips at the start, and the hunt for the CHF 1,500 tickets begins at 6:00 PM.
