T1 Triton ONE Event 15 $3k PLO 6-Handed - Artur Martirosian

After the NLH successes of the Asian players at Triton ONE (T1) powered by QQPK at Landing Casino & Resort Jeju, the chances for Trident Triton Trophies for other continents in PLO are significantly better. The previous day, the New Zealand champion in the $6k PLO 6-Handed, Jon-Oeter Rounce-Sue, was already able to demonstrate this. Today, two more Pot-Limit Omaha Triton Series trophies were to be awarded in the $3k PLO 6-Handed and the $2k One Night PLO 6-Handed, neither of which was to remain in Asia.

Event #15: $3k PLO 6-Handed

Following the 90 entries in the $6k PLO 6-Handed (#12) the previous day, there were a similar 88 entries in the $3k PLO 6-Handed event hunting for the trident trophy. In addition, a $64.000 prize from the $244.376 prize pool awaited the winner. This was reserved for the top 14, among whom no German-speaking high roller managed to place.

Players from 7 nations were represented among the top 9. Rayan “Beriuzy” Chamas, who had just made his comeback as a streamer after a multi-year (forced) break, was eliminated on the final table bubble. 8th place added $8.800 to his bankroll. After the bustouts of Weng Zheyu (CHN, $11.400), Alexandros Michas (GRE, $14.776), Egor Grasimchuk (RUS, $18.800), and Igor Yaroshevskyy (UKR, $23.000), Thailand’s number 1, Punnat Punsri, also had to leave T1 Event #15 in third place with a $29.000 payout but without a 6th Triton Trophy. In heads-up play, Zhao Yue from China, in his first Triton Series, and Triton veteran and Player of the Year of the 2025 Triton Season, Artur Martirosian, faced off against each other. Ultimately, experience prevailed, and with it the Russian high-stakes icon with the grim poker face. While $44.000 went to runner-up Yue, Martirosian could celebrate a $64.000 winner’s prize and a small fourth addition to his three large Triton Series trophies. And so much so that he could be seen laughing in the winner’s photo!

After Thompson was eliminated in 9th place ($4.300), only the Canadian Curtis Eric Muller stood between 8 Asians and the Triton Trophy. While his opponents were eliminated one by one, the Canadian made himself comfortable at his second final table in his first Triton Series. Previously, he had finished 7th in the $6k PLO for $23.000. This time, he didn’t want to get up until the award ceremony. He also emerged as the winner from the final heads-up against Teoh Kok Wei from Malaysia. While there was $29.700 for the runner-up, the Canadian champion could look forward to $43.000 and his first trophy.

Event #17: $2k One Night PLO 6-Handed

In the third PLO event of the Triton ONE series, the $2k ONE Night PLO 6-Handed, exactly 90 entries were recorded once again, matching the previous Omaha events. Thus, the top 14 were to finish ITM here as well, starting with a $3.100 min-cash and ending with the $43.000 winner’s prize from the $164.828 prize pool.

However, the Asian contingent was significantly more represented here, including in the money ranks. Only 2 North Americans and one European, the Irishman Gary Thompson, were able to cash in the 1-night event.
