Rayan Chamas Beriuzy

Online poker legend Rayan “Beriuzy” Chamas kept the viewers of his Twitch and YouTube streams in suspense for many years as a GGPoker Ambassador. After a 10-month downswing of about $800k, it was over in 2023 – with streams and also with the role as GGPoker Ambassador. From then on, nothing was heard from the Canadian for a long time until he made an impressive comeback in 2025 with 2 WCOOP titles. Now he is streaming regularly again and achieving impressive results both in and off his streams.

Who is “Beriuzy”?

The Lebanese resident of Montreal (CAN) has been playing poker for almost 18 years, more than half of his life. The bon vivant has tried many things in his life, as an employee in hotels, restaurants, with the dream of opening one himself one day, or as a globetrotter who has already traveled all over Europe, or as a poker player, or poker punter, as he sometimes calls himself.

As one of the most talented and entertaining players in the online poker world, he evolved from a Subway employee gambling during his working hours to a full-time player and streamer as a GGPoker Ambassador. Regularly, about 30.000 subscribers watched him on Twitch and YouTube.

$800k Downswing

Beriuzy 800k Downswing

After a 10-month downswing that took him from more than $400k in winnings to -$343.518, he pulled the plug. The phase with about $100k loss per month troubled him at the poker table, but also privately, for which he wanted to find a solution. It came in the form of a trip around the world together with his wife. He captured his story, his downswing, and especially the comeback from the “Dark Side” in a video. The hours he put into the video, over 150 in total, were not only for his own processing of the events but also for all those out there for whom a constant downswing makes poker and life difficult.

Comeback with 2 coaches and 2 WCOOP titles

“Beriuzy’s” comeback to the poker tables first took place live. At the WPT Seminole Rock’n’Roll Poker Open in November 2023, a 2nd place among the 1.447 entries was worth $600.000. He had played the $3.500 tournament with a 50% stake in himself, so he could add $300k profit to his bankroll. Another final table at the WPT Playground in Montreal brought him $113.770, and with further exceptionally good performances, Chamas had offset his entire $800k downswing by the beginning of 2025.

The next logical step for him was the return to the online tables. And that was also to be extremely successful. At the WCOOP 2025, Chamas won 2 titles. And not just any, but the $1.050 PLO event for $24.136, as well as the $109 Main Event in the Low Tier, in which he collected $212.826 for the win.

He also took his viewers along on this next poker journey through the mass event with 20.587 entries. In a video of his own, he reviews the success and what was necessary for it. For this, he brings in 2 coaches as experts for analysis. And not just anyone, but Lex Veldhuis as mental coach and Benjamin “Bencb” Rolle as hand analyst.

New home for the streamer (every Thursday)

After his successful return to live poker, the extraordinary comeback in online poker, the only thing missing was the return as a poker streamer to return to old habits with new strength. For this, he looked for the right platform and found it at CoinPoker. The high stakes cash games and the high roller tournaments have appealed to the North American. Without the cooperation with CoinPoker, he probably wouldn’t have resumed regular streaming, as he himself admits.

At least once a week, on Thursdays, he is in action in a long session on Twitch and YouTube, with much of the content only available to his subscribers. The content is not only entertaining from a poker perspective, where you can look over the shoulder of a high roller in the most expensive tournaments, but also the occasional session with friends takes place in front of the cameras. It doesn’t always have to be poker; Dota (2.004 MMR), Half Life, Anno, Rocket League are also played, and when alcohol is involved, he battles through as a Fall Guy. – Regardless of whether alone or with friends at the poker or bar table in the set-up studio corner, sober or tipsy, the entertaining content from Rayan “Beriuzy” Chamas is worth a subscription.
