Another piece of WSOP jewelry was reported for Switzerland. Furthermore, two side events also took place: there was maximum action in both the Double Board Bomb Pot PLO and the Hyper Turbo NLH!

WSOPC Event #9 – 2.500 CHF NLH High Roller
An interesting event for all those with the necessary pocket change was the NLH High Roller with a 2.250+250 CHF buy-in. 38 players provided a manageable field with 12 re-entries, in which the 100k guarantee was still broken, and ultimately 108.000 CHF was played for.
Among the 8 ITM finishers were 4 from the D-A-CH region: Andre Winkler-Arnold finished in 7th place (5.600 CHHF). An Austrian trio consisting of Alfredo Wilhelm (7.800 CHF), Sam Taghadossi (10.500 CHF), and Sandro Zariello (14.700 CHF) landed in formation in places 5 to 3. They had to leave the final battle for the ring to a Greco-Roman heads-up pairing. The Italian Lorenzo Arduini narrowly missed out on winning the ring as runner-up but was able to console himself with 22.300 CHF. The Greek Symeon Alexandridis was able to put on the 9th ring of the WSOPC Liechtenstein in Gamprin-Bendern and at the same time collect the 35.700 CHF winner’s prize.

WSOPC Ring Event #10 – 350 CHF Seniors Events
It got really crowded at the seniors’ tables in WSOPC Ring Event #10. 164 young-at-heart old masters started the Seniors Event for a 320+30 CHF buy-in. With 78 re-entries, they generated a prize pool of 77.440 CHF, which was to be distributed among the top 37, starting with a 710 CHF min-cash up to the 16.828 CHF winner’s prize.
30 of the 37 ITM finishers were from the D-A-CH region, and by the start of the final table, it was already clear that one of them would take the ring. At the final table, Markus Filpe (GER, 1.280 CHF) was the first to be eliminated, followed by Stefan Wermelinger (SUI, 1.580 CHF). WSOP bracelet winner Ivo Donev (AUT, 2.020 CHF) finished seventh! After him, Christian Beck (AUT, 2.670 CHF), Cetin Coban (SUI, 3.640 CHF), Michael Back (SUI, 5.110 CHF), and Markus Brunner (7.370 CHF) were able to collect their four-figure payouts at the cashier.
In heads-up play, Swiss compatriots Ramon Carbonelli and Alain Ferrari competed for the final 5.908 CHF pay jump and, of course, the coveted WSOPC ring. Carbonelli (SUI, 10.920 CHF) ultimately had to leave it to his countryman Ferrari, who was able to celebrate the success with 16.828 Swiss francs.
