After the Mixed Game Festival in Las Vegas had already been canceled because organizer Robbie Strazynski cannot leave Israel, the WPT Prime Championship in Cyprus has now been canceled.
Although the small island nation in the Mediterranean is more than 1,000 kilometers away from Iran’s capital Tehran, a British airbase on Cyprus was attacked by a drone earlier this week.

The WPT has now announced that while the remaining tournaments of the festival will be held, the Prime Championship has been postponed.

The reason for the cancellation is, of course, also that many players are currently having difficulty reaching destinations in the region due to limited flight options.
It can be assumed that the attack by the US and Israel will result in further tournament cancellations.
