One of the most hyped poker events of the year will likely lead crowds of poker fans and community members to the Grand Casino Liechtenstein (GCLI) from April 12 to 19. We are, of course, talking about “The biggest Poker Community Poker Festival,” the merger of HansiMania and GRND Live. However, not as many players seemed to be waiting for the highly anticipated festival of superlatives yesterday in the associated satellite at the GC Pokeroom Bendern. Only 12 starters appeared at the tournament tables from 18:00 and, with 6 re-entries, caused a rare overlay in Gamprin-Bendern. This was likely not due to the festival hosts Jan “HeyHansi” Wagner and EPT Paris Main Event runner-up Felix “xflixx” Schneiders, but rather because the GCLI regs had to recharge their batteries after 10 days of non-stop WSOPC action. – In any case, half of the starters were able to enjoy easily earned Main Event tickets.

A rare overlay occurred yesterday evening in the Poker Community Satellite, where 12 entries and 6 re-entries in the 50+10 CHF tournament resulted in just 900 CHF in the 1.500 CHF guaranteed prize pool. Half of the 12 participants were able to enjoy the added value and 6 Poker Community Main Event tickets worth 250 CHF each.
Among them were local heroine Kathrin Wolfinger (LIE), as well as Amos Bongio (ITA), Francesco Pizzo (SUI), “Berlin” (GER), “Serti” (AUT), and “El Rocko” (AUT), who appeared in 1st place in the final results as chip leader and, in addition to the Poker Community Main Event ticket, was able to secure the bragging rights for the tournament victory.

Starting at 18:00 today, the action continues with hopefully more regenerated players in the Jokers Wild tournament. Exactly 1 Joker card in the deck is not a mistake, but intentional. Players can participate in this format for a 100+10 CHF entry fee, for which they receive 40.000 starting chips and 20 minutes of play per blind level. After the 8-level long late registration phase, during which the re-entry option is available, the blind levels shorten to 15 minutes in the freezeout part of the tournament. The guaranteed prize pool in this guaranteed action-packed tournament is 3.500 Swiss Francs.
