The Sunday Grind on PokerStars is always intense week after week – especially when SCOOP is running. The crowds of players flocking to the Spring Championship of Online Poker, which is undoubtedly one of the most popular online poker series in the world, also benefit PokerStars’ signature tournaments, such as the Sunday Million. 10.619 entries are competing over 2 days for $1.061.900. After Day 1, fortunately, “Baumschlange” from Germany is in the lead. In addition, there was a trophy win for Simon “DaDumon” Grabenschweiger from Austria and a SCOOP Edition victory by his compatriot “LentoPeroSeguro”. The biggest cash for the D-A-CH-L community was secured by Daniel “SmilleThHero” Smiljkovic, finishing third in the legendary $5.200 Titans, while Ole Schemion narrowly missed his next trophy as runner-up in the Bounty Builder SHR. On the other hand, Patrick “pads1161” Leonard was able to expand his collection by winning the Sunday Supersonic.

Sunday Million (SCOOP Event #40-M) – Day 1

A tournament that is a fixed date in every online poker player’s calendar is the Sunday Million (SCOOP 40-M), especially during SCOOP. 10.619 (8.017+2.602) entries did not miss the chance for a $109 buy-in to get a large piece of the $1.061.900 prize pool, which consisted half of a regular prize pool and half of a bounty prize pool. 1.711 players are set to finish in the regular prize money, which goes up to a $55.212 top prize. 141 Day 1 survivors are still in the hunt on today’s final day, fortunately including 9 from the D-A-CH region. Among them, “Baumschlange” climbed the highest. As chip leader, they have not only played themselves into the best position but also have a 5-million lead over 2nd place in the intermediate standings with over 18 million chips. The D-A-CH community is crossing its fingers

There is also a German chip lead in the Low edition, the “Mystery Sunday Special” (40-L). Among the last 172 of the original 16.413 starters, “Bastelbastel” is clearly in the lead. There is $164.130 in the total prize pool here. In addition to the collected mystery bounties, the winner receives $15.493.
In the $1.050 High edition (40-H), surprisingly only one German-speaking high roller is represented among the final 41. “ElPapitoCapitan” ranks in the middle of the pack and will continue his hunt for the $65.045 top prize today.
