Last Monday, the WSOP Main Event champ didn’t just grab recognition for his poker skills – he also showed exceptional talent on the bowling alley. During a friendly game in Las Vegas, he achieved a perfect 300-point score – twelve strikes in a row, without a single miss.
In the duel that Riess played together with Dan Sepiol (who won the 2023 WPT World Championship) and the well-known high-stakes pro Jesse Lonis contested, a side bet additionally increased the tension: if Riess managed the perfect game, he would collect $5.000 from Lonis. Lonis himself captured his fellow player’s decisive final three throws on video and provided live commentary. Riess already had nine strikes in a row before heading into the finale – and continued the streak with three more perfect throws. This meant not only a flawless 300-score, but also winning the agreed-upon bet.
