The One Drop Foundation with the Poker Connection
The One Drop Foundation was founded by Guy Laliberté. It works worldwide to provide access to clean water and sanitation. Since 2012, the foundation has raised more than $26 million together with the poker community.
For Laliberté, the partnership is a logical step. The connection between poker and charity is a special opportunity to raise awareness for the cause. PokerStars also emphasizes: Poker has always thrived on a strong sense of community that can be specifically used for an important cause.
The initiative also fits into the overarching sustainability strategy of PokerStars’ parent company, Flutter. With the “Do More” campaign launched in 2022, the company aims to actively create social value and visibly support partner organizations.
