After the 4.562 entries last year, one might have thought that there could be no further increase for this traditional tournament.
But 709 tournament starts on Day 1B pushed the total participation so far to 1.176 entries, with three strong starting days still to come.
The day’s victory was secured by the Brit Lawrence Penfold, who collected 796.000 chips and thus closed in on the still-leading Massimiliano Cordeschi.

From a German-speaking perspective, Nils Mallon was the best chip collector, finishing in 12th place with 515.000 chips.
