Although there is no typical Classic Week as part of the Soulex Cash Game Festival at Grand Casino As (GCA), the Classic Friday MTT was still on the tournament schedule. With the competition at the cash game tables, the 7k guarantee was not quite reached, so players could enjoy an overlay. In the end, one of the GCA regs was able to celebrate the tournament victory, as his nickname suggests.

€70 Classic Friday
One of the highlights of the classic week at GCA is the Classic Friday. The MTT, formerly titled Friday 7k, brought 77 players to the tournament tables despite cash game competition. During late registration, a re-entry was used 35 times for the entry fee of €60+€10. However, the 112 total entries were not quite enough to break the 7k guarantee. In addition to the small €280 overlay, participants could look forward to payouts between a €105 min-cash and a €1,755 top prize.
Many GCA regs were found in the results list at the end. With “only” 5 German guests at the final table, this weekly tournament had a somewhat more international final table lineup. When “Lucinda,” probably the most successful player in GCA history, was eliminated in 4th place with a €635 payout, players from 3 different nations were playing for the Classic Friday victory.

After “Picco” from Croatia had to bury his title hopes with a €855 payout, two success-accustomed GCA regulars, Lukas Rychetsky (CZE) and “GCA74,” faced each other in heads-up play. The NUTS Main Event champion Rychetsky had to settle for the runner-up spot on Friday, which earned him €1,140 for his bankroll. On the other hand, “GCA74” was able to secure the next GCA success, taking home a €1,755 top prize to Germany.
