Achieving a big win for a small buy-in was not only the goal for 157 entries at the Grand Casino Liechtenstein (GCLI) on Saturday, but also the name of the MTT: “Small Buy-In Big Win Saturday”! The 10.000 Swiss Francs prize pool guaranteed for a buy-in of just 90+10 CHF was clearly exceeded, and ultimately 14.130 CHF was played for in the GC Pokerroom Bendern.

100 CHF Small Buy-In Big Win Saturday
104 starters did not miss out on the MTT for a buy-in of just 90+10 Swiss Francs on Saturday from 15:00. During late registration, another 53 re-entries were added, which ultimately resulted in a prize pool of 14.130 CHF. This was to be divided among the top 19, starting with a 190 CHF min-cash and ending with a considerable winning sum of 3.460 CHF. Unlike the Small Buy-In Big Win Friday the day before, this was not to be part of a deal but was to be paid out in full to a single winner!
Once again, the German-speaking starters from the D-A-CH region formed the largest part of the field. Thus, 16 of the 19 payouts went to Germany, Austria, or Switzerland. With the elimination of the last Swiss players “Lockomat” and “Mac” in 6th (790 CHF) and 5th (1.105 CHF) place, it was already certain that there would be a German tournament triumph in Gamprin-Bendern on Saturday. From the remaining German quartet, Michael Daidrich was the next to be eliminated in 4th place (1.270 CHF), followed by Patrick Weiss (1.540 CHF). In heads-up play, Kilian Mirbach had to settle for the runner-up spot (2.360 CHF), while the tournament victory and the 3,.460 CHF Big Win went to “non ova” from Germany.
