PPT Side Events – „King of Kings“ grabs the treasure of L’Olonnais!

The pirates at King’s Resort Rozvadov went treasure hunting on Friday in the Cornelius Jol Turbo Pot Limit Omaha and L’Olonnais Friday Night Turbo side events. As part of the Pirates‘ Poker Treasure powered by euroRounders, the guaranteed loot was clearly exceeded. None of the likeminded dealers were interested in a deal yesterday, so the Vitalien brothers returned from their raids with some rich booty. – At King’s Casino Prague, it was not about pirate treasures but at least 1 million crowns. The 5th of 8 starting flights was played in the multi-flight event with a guaranteed prize pool of 1,000,000 CZK (40,000 EUR).

€200: Cornelius Jol Turbo Pot Limit Omaha

In the event honoring the admiral of the Dutch West India Company, 46 players followed in the footsteps of the captain from Scheveningen who became a pirate. After 19 re-entries at a buy-in of €200 each, the prize pool to be won amounted to €10,920. This was to be awarded in amounts ranging from €426 to €3,284 to the most successful freebooters.

At the 8-handed final table, there were also 6 German-speaking Vitalien brothers: Christoph Tanner (SUI), 8th, cashed €454; “AAlglatt” (GER, 7th) received €512 at the cashier; Daniel Ortlieb (GER, 6th) won €610; and with the right VpiP, “Vaupip” (GER, 5th) earned €766. The best D-A-CH-L pirate in the Pot-Limit Omaha event was “Milo” (GER) in third place, rewarded with €1,401. In the decisive heads-up, Jovan Lepedat (SRB) was runner-up for €2,029, while Barnaba Perone (ITA) secured the largest share of the loot with €3,284.

€130: L’Olonnais Friday Night Turbo

The weekly Friday Night Turbo was named after the brutal French buccaneer Francois L’Olonnais. However, this did not stop 157 participants from paying the €130 buy-in into the prize pool. The tournament life was not enough to survive the late registration 53 times, and players re-entered. With 210 total entries, the €10k guarantee was smashed, and ultimately €22,932 was played for, reserved for the top 32.

Four German-speaking sailors also made it to the final table: Knut Sauer (GER) ended his raid in 7th place with a €648 payout. His compatriot “Schulle” sailed to 6th place and €850. Mathias Marzinkowski (GER) navigated to the podium, collecting €2,346 as third place. The French football fan “Michael Owen” could not prevail in the heads-up against the pirate king on Friday and had to settle for runner-up with €3,504 loot. The sea battle was won by “King of Kings” (SUI), who once again did justice to his name and left King’s with the largest share of the loot amounting to €5,387.

€80: 1 Million Crown Series – Day 1E

In the 1 Million Crown Series at the Hilton Atrium Prague, home of King’s Prague, the 5th of 8 flights (7 starting days + 1 Flip and Go) was held. The €80 buy-in was paid 91 times, 58 times for the first bullet, 33 times for re-entries. With 10% final qualifiers, the number was perfectly rounded up to 10 qualifying spots. In addition to the €160 min-cash, a €500 chip leader bonus in the form of a “King of King’s” (KoK) ticket worth €500 was paid out directly.

Among the top three stacks were “Karty” (FRA, 329,500) and Eduard Bernecjan (CZE, 359,000). However, with a clear lead, Quang Quan Nguyen (VIE) secured 546,500 chips in the finale and thus the €500 chip leader bonus from Day 1E.
