At the Community Poker Festival (CPF) powered by GRND Live & HansiMania, the final of the Mystery Bounty and Day 1B of the Community Poker Main Event took place on Wednesday at the Grand Casino Liechtenstein (GCLI). While six more participants qualified for the final in the M.E., two finalists competed for regular and bounty payouts in the M.B. The total bounties were to be shared among only five players.

200 CHF: CPF Mystery Bounty

For the Mystery Bounty final event with a 90+90+20 CHF buy-in, 21 players qualified over the two starting days. This not only guaranteed them a minimum cash of 200 CHF from the 15,480 CHF regular prize pool ITM but also gave them the chance to compete for the 3,625 CHF first prize and the Mystery Bounties activated on Day 2. The 21 bounties came from the 15,480 CHF bounty pool. Hidden within were 9x 220 CHF, 5x 400 CHF, 3x 500 CHF, 2x 1,250 CHF, 1x 2,500 CHF, and the top Mystery Bounty worth 5,000 CHF!

The final was strongly contested. Besides GCLI regulars like “Reys” or Giordano Longhino, Sandro Zarriello, Stefan Eggenberger, and one of the two hosts “HeyHansi” also qualified. While the final table seats were fiercely fought over, the battle for the Mystery Bounty prizes was a one-sided, or rather three-sided affair. Besides two individual knockouts by “Dawid” and Benjamin Ferber, three players really cleaned up in the final. “Hempmaster” alone collected 4 bounties for the GRND crew, “Dendemaier” was even more successful with 5 takeouts. By far the most ruthless was Antonio Chiafala towards his fellow players: a total of 10 eliminations were credited to the Swiss player. He also had the luck of the diligent and managed to draw the 5,000 top bounty.

While “HeyHansi” was eliminated in 12th place (270 CHF) just before the final table, “Hempiii” made it there. He continued his CPF run, which had already led him to victory in the Felix Freezeout. Ultimately, the GRND moderator and commentator finished in 7th place with 650 CHF from the regular pool and 1,160 CHF from the bounty pool. Ahead of the Rhinelander were Stefan Kasper (SUI, 865 CHF), “Dawid” (GER, 1,100 CHF + 1,250 CHF), “Reys” (GER, 1,380 CHF), and Min-Sung Lee (KRC, 1,670 CHF). The heads-up was then contested between the two most active bounty collectors. “Dendemaier” (SUI) could not stop his opponent’s run here and had to settle for 2nd place with 2,430 CHF and 3,560 CHF in bounties. With an impressive performance, Antonio Chiafala (SUI) secured the victory along with a 3,625 CHF prize and a whopping 9,110 Swiss francs from the bounty pool!

On the second of six starting days, 47 participants gathered in the GC Pokerroom Bendern for the 220+30 CHF buy-in. During the late registration, 10 re-entries were taken. It was thus clear that 7 qualifiers for the final would emerge on Wednesday. The starting day lasted a bit longer than the previous Day 1A, so that at level 10k/20k-20k, the 7 chip bags were handed out to the survivors.

The most successful was Kai Dressler (GER), who managed to multiply his 50,000 starting stack. In the end, he not only held the Day 1B chip lead with 869,000 chips but also took over the overall lead. Behind him in 2nd place in the daily ranking was Alexander Weckerle (GER) with 708,000 chips, followed by Arutiun Papian (SUI) with 408,000 chips.
