As reported by Austrian media, the entrepreneur known as the Poker King passed away at the age of 71 after a serious illness.
Since the 1990s, Zanoni significantly shaped the Austrian poker scene, far beyond his CCC locations distributed throughout the country.
He operated his Concord Card Casinos on the edge of legality and repeatedly came into conflict with the authorities.

When the gambling tax was introduced in 2011, he refused to pay it and fought one of his many legal battles.
In 2019, his license expired, and a year later, the CCC went bankrupt with tax debts of €600 million.
