Thursday was hump day at the SCOOP on PokerStars. Before the well-deserved rest day, 18 more trophies were awarded. While none made their way to the German-speaking countries, two players from the D-A-CH-L region, Ole „wizowizo“ Schemion and „kackvogel84“, lead the High and Low editions of the Thursday Thrill after Day 1. For some DACH players, like „Baumschlange“, yesterday’s trophy hunt at the Spring Championship of Online Poker ended on the podium. *COOP superstars Patrick „pads1161“ Leonard and Benny „Rungoodlike“ Glaser also landed there once again. In the SCOOP Side Events, there was a prominent winner in Benjamin „Spraggy“ Spragg, and in the Daily Eliminator SCOOP Edition, there was a German secondary success through „Mrelashvili“!

Thursday Thrill
Thursday’s signature tournament was held as part of the SCOOP in all 3 buy-in tiers (Low, Medium, High). In the $109 Mini Thursday Thrill Edition, 2.853 (2.049+76) entries generated a $285.300 prize pool. 76 players will return to the two-day PKO tournament on Saturday to play for the big progressive bounties and large pay jumps up to the $17.813 winner’s prize. Also still in the mix are several players from the D-A-CH-L, most notably „kackvogel84“, who finished Day 1 with a flight to the chip lead (2.277.121 chips).
In the classic $1.050 Thursday Thrill Edition (#68-M), 255 high rollers were at the start. We will see 24 of them again on Saturday hunting for bounties and prize money from the $255.000 prize pool. Among them is Sebastian „peace&loove“ Huber, who held his own well in the top-tier field. In front of his Twitch viewers, he finished Day 1 with 439.428 virtual chips and several bounties in 17th place in the interim standings. Simon „DaDumon“ Grafenschweiger and „assel007“ are also still well in the race for PKO bounties and the $21.571 winner’s prize in 7th and 11th place in the chip counts. Pavel „silentm0de“ Plesuv from Moldova leads.

The $20.300 Thursday Thrill High Roller Edition was then only for players with seemingly infinite bankrolls. From 35 (30+5) entries of the usual suspects, it was played down to the 5 ITM finishers. They were able to enjoy a $50k overlay. The D-A-CH-L community can also be happy, as they will be crossing their fingers for chip leader Ole „wizowizo“ Schemion (1.004.097) on Day 2 to win the $71.361 top prize.

SCOOP Events (#66-#72)
In SCOOP Events #66 to #72, the German-speaking players came away empty-handed on their trophy hunt at the halfway point of the Spring Championship of Online Poker, but there were a few podium finishes to celebrate. The Austrian „kackvogel84“ didn’t just fly to the chip lead in the Mini Thursday Thrill, but also took 3rd place ($9.024) out of 2.417 (1.717+700) in the $55 Deep Stacks (#66-M). The same result was achieved by „TomAssCH“ among 2.302 (1.349+953) runners as the third-place finisher ($809) in the $5,50 PLO 6-Max (#69-L). Also finishing in 3rd place were „Keep3r“ ($8.000) in the $530 PLO8 6-Max (#69-H) and „Cryptok1ng55“ ($16.529) in the $1.050 NLHE 6-Max Turbo (#70-H). There was also a podium for „Darkdraw2“ ($755+$188) as 3rd out of 4.870 in the $5,50 Daily Supersonic SE and Simon „DaDumon“ Grafenschweiger in the same event in the $33 M-edition, where he finished third ($2.780+$1.657) among 2.749 entries; one place ahead of „Zozzo“ ($2.001+$1.433). „GoooooodBoy“ in the $55 NLHE Turbo PKO (#71-M) and „OneH1tWonder“ in the $22 FLHE (#67-L) narrowly missed out on a SCOOP trophy. For the good boy, 2nd place ($6.180+$1.335) out of 1.913 entries was recorded at the end. The one-hit wonder became runner-up ($1.127) among 449 entries.

The German „Baumschlange“ has been riding a heater of a different kind for days. The all-rounder from the north was already able to significantly boost his bankroll as 3rd in the Sunday Million and has since reached at least one more final table every day – on Thursday there were 3! In the $22 Fixed Limit Hold’em 6-Max Event (#67-L), he didn’t miss the SCOOP trophy by much in 3rd place ($792) out of 449. He came almost as close to the title in the same event in the $109 Medium edition as 6th ($616) out of 108 runners. However, those were not to be the absolute highlights for the venomous snake on Thursday, as a 3rd place among 157 entries and $3.665+$437 payouts were still waiting for him in the $530 BLHE Turbo PKO (#71-H).

The big WCOOP & SCOOP luminaries Patrick „pads1161“ Leonard and Benny „Rungoodlike“ Glaser also had their hands on a SCOOP trophy once again. After consecutive trophy wins in the last 3 days, Patrick Leonard finished 3rd out of 210 entries in the $530 Deep Stacks (#66-H), which flushed $11.907 into his PokerStars bankroll. His rival for the most *COOP titles of all time, Benny „Rungoodlike“ Glaser, ran to 2nd place and a $4.667 payout in the $530 Fixed Limit Hold’em event with his 5th bullet.

SCOOP Editions
While the SCOOP Editions are not about the iconic PokerStars trophies, the SCOOP versions of regular PokerStars MTTs are about plenty of prize money and, of course, fame and glory. „Mrelashvili“ from Germany got the maximum of everything when he left 2.368 competitors behind in the $27 Daily Eliminator and, after their liquidations, was the sole survivor at the final table, collecting $3.674+$2.858 for the outstanding performance in the mass event.

SCOOP Side Events
The SCOOP Side Events also do not award physical trophies, but they do offer handsome prize money. The Austrian „BL4CK11“ experienced this as 3rd out of 528 ($4.460+$1.862) in the $215 NLHE 7-Max PKO, as did „Njambe“ from Germany as 2nd out of 3.317 ($6.038+$1.840) in the $33 NLHE 7-Max PKO. The German had to give way to none other than PokerStars Team Pro Benjamin „Spraggy“ Spragg. In front of his Twitch viewers, the Brit grabbed the SCOOP Side Event victory and with it $6.041+$2.392.
