Who doesn’t know this from home games – it comes to a showdown and suddenly a player is holding a joker in their hand and the instruction manual is dealt on the river! While the rules of the game and hand rankings didn’t find their way into the deck at Grand Casino Liechtenstein (GCLI), 1 joker did. 110 CHF Jokers Wild
There was an unusual spectacle on Thursday from 18:00 with the Jokers Wild at Grand Casino Liechtenstein. The NLH tournament with a 100+10 CHF buy-in, featuring a joker in the deck, provided not only constant surprises but also quite a challenge for players, dealers, and the shuffling machine. Some of the 24 participants had traveled long distances specifically for this special tournament fun, while other GCLI regs were still recovering from the continuous WSOPC action and stayed away from the tournament.
Seven re-entries were not enough to break the 3.500 CHF guarantee, meaning the starters could enjoy a 400 Swiss Franc overlay. The prize money was set to go to the top four, starting with a 350 CHF min-cash up to the 1.400 CHF winner’s prize. However, after Irena Dimova (350 CHF) and local hero “FeinRaus” (700) were out, the Swiss heads-up pair agreed on an even deal. According to this, 1.225 CHF each went to runner-up Ilkay Pala and the official winner “Didi777”.
