At the Triton ONE (T1) Series powered by QQPK at the Landing Casino & Resort Jeju, the final flight of the $8k Triton ONE Main Event was played yesterday with Day 1C. 99 of the 441 entries will join the qualifiers from Day 1A and Day 1B today on Day 2. Among the top chip counts was Jon-Peter, an old acquaintance from the last few days, and also an Austrian high roller. In addition, the $2k One Night NLH 8-Handed (#19) and the $5k NLH 7-Handed Single Day (#18) were held at the Triton Series’ “mid-stakes” franchise, in which a player from the D-A-CH-L region landed in the top 9 for the first time in this T1 edition.

Event #10: $8k Triton ONE Main Event
In front of the Triton Series livestream cams, 441 entries took their last chance for Day 2 qualification in the $8k Triton ONE Main Event. The field consisted of a mix of Asian newcomers, QQPK qualifiers, seasoned mid and high rollers, and some super high rollers waiting for the subsequent Triton Series Jeju.
In the final level of the day at blinds 15k/30k-30k, the usual suspects were once again among the top of the 99 survivors: Behind Day 1C chip leader Timur Mukhamedaminov (130 BBs), it was Wednesday’s New Zealand PLO champion, Jon-Peter Rounce-Sue, who placed just behind him (129 BBs). The podium was completed by none other than the well-known high roller and streamer Rayan “Beriuzy” Chamas with 100 BBs, who recently made his stream comeback. To the delight of the D-A-CH-L community, Tom Fuchs also placed among the top chip counts of the starting day as tied 11th (65 BBs). And the PLO champion from the previous day, the always cheerful Artur Martirosian, and Stephen Sond also made the cut.

Event #18: $5k NLH 7-Handed Single Day
In the 18th Triton ONE tournament, 226 entries gathered for the $5,000 buy-in at the Landing Casino. This meant $1,046,154 would end up in the prize pool of the NLH 7-Handed event for the top 36. In addition to international poker heavyweights like Justin Saliba (28th, $8,000), Ethan Yau (20th, $12,500), Alex Boika (6th, $49,000), or Adrian Mateos (5th, $65,500), a German-speaking trio also finished in the money: Samuel Mullur finished in 29th place ($8,000) for his 19th Triton cash, while for Konstantin Held, it was his fourth in 14th place ($16,000). Sebastian Gaehl even managed to jump into the top 9 ($23,000), achieving the best result for the D-A-CH-L community in the current Triton ONE Series. The victory in the No-Limit Hold’em event was once again decided among the Asian players. Places 1 to 4 went to Chinese players. In heads-up play, Ye Yi had to settle for the runner-up spot and $143,000, while the $214,000 winner’s prize and trident trophy went to Chen Peng.
