There are 5 new episodes of “The Big Game on Tour” every Sunday. The recorded PokerStars cash game format regularly brings together stars from sports and poker, and of course the audience contestant, the staked Loose Cannon, at the high-stakes table. 150 hands are played over 5 episodes with the same lineup. Starting March 8th, a new round can be seen on the PokerStars YouTube channel.

The Big Game on Tour
The Big Game is traditionally a $100/$200 NLH high-stakes cash game where a table full of professional high rollers meets a hobby player (“Loose Cannon”) who is provided with a $50,000 stake by PokerStars for a session. The stakes and buy-ins can also increase over the course of the 5 episodes. Each session is played over 150 hands, and the amateur is allowed to take home any profit they have made at the end. This dynamic naturally led to explosive situations, and there were also plenty of confrontations among the pros. In 2010, the 1st season was broadcast over 12 weeks, divided into 5 days each. The 2nd season consists of 30 episodes.
The Big Game on Tour was recorded during the NAPT Las Vegas with a changing lineup and a mix of sports and poker stars. To participate, players could qualify for the Loose Cannon selection through 20 online shootouts on PokerStars. From the 20 winners, a jury led by Joe Stapleton and James Hartigan cast 2 Loose Cannons per recording, who were provided with a $50,000 stake for The Big Game on Tour.
The Line-Up for the New 5 Episodes
The lineup for the Big Game in episodes 11 to 15 is more than impressive. Alongside poker legends Phil Hellmuth and Antonio Esfandiari, poker shooting star Rania Nasreddine and sports commentator Nick Wright take their seats. Providing an additional sporting “kick” is tight end legend and unsuccessful extra-point kicker Rob “Gronk” Gronkowski. The table is rounded off by “Loose Cannon” Luke Wackelin.
