The announcement of the World Series Of Poker (WSOP) schedule for this year has, as always, caused a stir in the poker community. Every year there is a different discussion – or several.

What is causing talk and questions in this year’s announcement is the only partially revealed schedule for the legendary $10.000 Main Event. The starting days of the Main Event take place from July 2. to 5., then there are the further match days, but no date has been announced for the actual final table – it is only known that the Main Event spans a total of eleven days. The statement in the announcement was that there will be free daily streams until the start of the final table, and this naturally raised many questions.

Does this mean that the final table will take place significantly later – similar to the November Nine in past years? Does this mean that the final table will be shown on a mainstream television channel?

We don’t have all the answers yet, but Daniel Negreanu, who works closely with the WSOP and the brand’s new owner, GGPoker, has now shed some light on the matter. In a conversation with the poker news site Poker.org, he confirmed that there will be no paywall for the entire Main Event, and the action can be followed for free. He also confirmed that the final table will not take place too far apart – so no November Nine.
