The WSOP Circuit (WSOPC) at the Grand Casino Liechtenstein (GCLI) is the poker highlight of the year in the GC Pokerroom. For those who don’t want to miss the 1,500 CHF Main Event with a 1 million guarantee, yesterday offered the chance to grab a ticket at the WSOPC Satellite for just 110 CHF. Among others, a GCLI regular, who is currently on a hot winning streak in Gamprin-Bendern, was expected to succeed.

110 CHF WSOPC Satellite
The WSOP Circuit takes place at the GCLI from February 26th to March 10th. Before that, there are still several satellites where you can play your way into the great Main Event with a 1,000,000 CHF guarantee for little money. This was also the case on Wednesday, when the satellite traditionally took place starting at 6:00 PM, which was thus a WSOPC Satellite yesterday. For a buy-in of 100+10 CHF, 23 players entered the qualifying tournament. During the 9 levels of late registration, another 16 re-entries were purchased, thus exceeding the 3k guarantee. Ultimately, 3,900 Swiss francs landed in the prize pool, which, in addition to the two guaranteed tickets, also meant 900 CHF for 3rd place.
When Marco Magisano (SUI) became the bubble boy in the WSOPC Satellite in 4th place, the ticket bubble followed immediately after the money bubble burst. Here it was Jochen Wehrli (SUI) who, although taking home 900 Swiss francs in third place, had to congratulate his two remaining opponents on winning the WSOPC Main Event tickets. These went early Thursday morning after 4 hours and 54 minutes of play to the local hero “Moffl” from the Principality of Liechtenstein, as well as to a GCLI serial winner. With victories in the Friday Freezeout and the Bounty Tournament, among others, or as chip leader of the Keole Poker Open, the German-Greek “Notis GR” has repeatedly drawn attention to himself recently. He apparently carried his run into the WSOPC Satellite, which he left as the winner with the Main Event ticket worth 1,500 CHF.
