
At the World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE) 2026 at King’s Casino Prague, the Main Event was started on Good Friday – and with a remarkable number of participants.

In the previous year – back then in Rozvadov and for a buy-in of €10.350 – a total of 659 entries participated in the Main Event, and this number was already exceeded on the first of three starting days.

336 players made it through, including comeback player Annette Obrestad, Erick Lindgren, Punnat Punsri, Mike Watson, and many German-speaking players.

The first chip leader is the Belarusian Aliaksai Boika, who was able to collect 424.500 chips. The best DACH player on starting day 1A was Niklas Deitmer, who finished in 4th place with 398.000.

Besides him, Leonard Maue, Max Neugebauer, Tobias Schwecht, Klemens Roiter, and many other DACH cracks also made the leap into Day 2.
