At the Black Crown Series at Card Casino Samorin (formerly Card Casino Bratislava), 3 BCS events were played in parallel on Friday. While Day 1B was already being played in the €100,000 gtd. PLO 4 Cards, the starting signal for Main Event Day 1A was given in the €500,000 gtd. Main Event of the Black Crown Series. However, the main focus was on the decision in the €100,000 gtd. Warm-Up, where 13 finalists played for the guaranteed €100,000 prize pool.

€550 PLO 4 Card
After 52 entries on Day 1A in the PLO 4 Cards event, 87 entries were added on Day 1B for a €550 buy-in. After the conclusion of both starting flights and 139 total entries, it was clear that only three-quarters of the €100k guarantee had been reached, providing participants with a juicy overlay.
Of the 87 1B entries, 9 were to make the leap to the final day (today, 12:00 PM). Behind the British Day 1B chip leader Robert Cowen (1,098,000), the Czech Jaroslav Peter (1,016,000) took second place, followed pleasingly, albeit with a considerable gap, by the two Austrians Andreas Freund (350,000) and Robert Höllüller (240,000) in the daily rankings.

€1.700 NLH Main Event – Day 1A
At 17:00, the time had come and the cards were in the air for the Black Crown Series Main Event. With a €1,700 buy-in, a whopping €500,000 is guaranteed in the Main Event. After the first of three starting days, with 32 entries, it did not yet look like the guarantee could be broken, which would be the case at approximately 300 entries.

At the end of the match day, 4 players were able to bag chips for the final (Sun, 15:00). In addition to Simeon Tsonev Tsonev from Bulgaria, these were Patrik Kunik from Slovakia and Lukas Timko from the Czech Republic, as well as the Day 1A chip leader Dimitar Genev. The Bulgarian will start the final day with 539,000 chips, which he made from his 50,000 starting stack.

€550 Warm-Up – Final
In the BCS Warm-Up as well, the 120 entries in the opening tournament could enjoy great added value; just two-thirds of the €100,000 guarantee were reached after the two starting days. The overlay primarily benefited the 5 qualifiers from Day 1A and the 8 from Day 1B. With a guaranteed €1,500, they headed into the final of the top 13.
The chip counts before the Warm-Up final:

Unfortunately, it was over for the two women who had shaken up the fields on the starting days even before reaching the 9-handed final table. Day 1A chip leader Eszter Fabian was eliminated surprisingly early in 11th place (€1,800); Linda Nguyen also finished in 10th place at the same prize money level (€1,800).
Several CC regulars were able to take a seat at the final table and did not get up again so quickly. Local hero Andrej Desset, number 4 on the Slovakian All-Time Money List, finished in 3rd place (€10,000). After his elimination, the Hungarian-Czech duo agreed on a deal, specifically for equal shares. While the Czech CC regular, under the nickname “PROXIMUS,” officially became the runner-up, the title along with the Black Crown Series Trophy went to the Hungarian Peter Krajnyak, who, just like his opponent, could look forward to €19,150 according to the deal.
